Dr Tom Dover is a Endocrinologist and Obstetric Physician in both the public and private sector whilst also doing outreach to Indigenous communities.  Impressively he is also a dietitian and an exercise physiologist (what a dude...).  He practices what he preaches and is a marathon runner having run 20 marathons around the world including in North Korea.

Today we have a great conversation about type 2 diabetes including:

  1. Prevalence
  2. Pathophysiology and insulin resistance
  3. Diagnosis
  4. Lifestyle treatment = low calorie programs, ketogenic diets, Mediterranean and whole food plant based approaches, fasting, personalised medicine, movement and briefly sleep/stress
  5. Oral medications
  6. Initiating insulin

He has no conflicts of interest to declare.

Enjoy friends!
